Attention all H-1B prospects for fiscal year 2025! The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has extended the initial registration period. This is great news for anyone who may have encountered issues during the original registration window.
Here’s the update:
- The registration period originally ran from March 6th (noon Eastern) to March 22nd (noon Eastern).
- Due to a temporary system outage impacting some registrants, USCIS has extended the deadline.
- You now have until March 25th, 2024 (noon Eastern) to submit your registration for the FY 2025 H-1B cap.
This extension provides valuable extra time to ensure your registration goes smoothly.
How to Register
- To register electronically for the H-1B selection process, both potential petitioners and their representatives (if applicable) will need a USCIS online account.
- There’s a registration fee associated with each beneficiary, so be prepared to pay during the process.
- USCIS still aims to notify selected applicants by March 31st, 2024.

Streamlined Collaboration for Organizations
- USCIS launched new "myUSCIS organizational accounts" on February 28th, 2024. These accounts allow for improved collaboration within organizations. They let multiple people within your organization, along with legal representatives, work together on H-1B registrations, petitions, and related forms (like the I-907 for premium processing).
- If your organization participates in the FY 2025 H-1B Electronic Registration Process, a new organizational account is mandatory.
Refer to our previous blog post to learn more about these organizational accounts, including their features and usage guidelines.
Remember: The registration deadline is March 25th, 2024 (noon Eastern). Don’t delay – submit your application as early as possible.
